Our teachers are the key to our success, and we applaud them.
Friendship House is fortunate to have a skilled workforce, requiring teachers to have at the minimum a Child Development Associate's Degree. We encourage all of our staff to continue their education, recognizing the positive effect for them and for our Center. Currently, we have twelve staff members who have been awarded their CDA's through the Council for Professional Recognition, and we have one staff member currently finishing her requirement through the Council. In addition, we have three persons working toward completion of their Early Childhood Education Associate's Degree and two staff members with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. In the past year, we have completed 1,147 training hours, 966 online, 96 in class, and 85 with Pre-K through DECAL.
The management team together have over 100 years of experience in child care and related training.
